Add an Item to Inventory

Create a new inventory item so it can be priced, booked, and shown on your website.

Use the Inventory section to create every rentable product you want available in bookings, packages, and the website.

1. Open Inventory and click Add New Item

Go to Inventory from the dashboard sidebar.

At the top-right of the page, click Add New Item.

This is the main entry point for adding:

  • bounce houses
  • slides
  • combos
  • games
  • generators
  • add-ons

2. Choose the correct item type

Select the type that best matches the product you are creating.

Choosing the right type keeps:

  • inventory filters clean
  • customer-facing labels accurate
  • reporting and categorization more useful later

If you are unsure, pick the type that best matches how the customer would shop for it.

3. Fill in the required basics

Every inventory item should have complete core details before you save it.

At minimum, make sure you review:

  • item name
  • pricing
  • quantity
  • basic description
  • status

If the item is not ready to rent yet, do not leave it looking available by accident.

4. Add specs and operational details

InflateMate supports richer item details so your team and your customers know exactly what is being booked.

Add the information that matters for setup and customer expectations, such as:

  • size or dimensions
  • power requirements
  • participant guidance
  • setup notes
  • restrictions or special requirements

These details reduce confusion later during delivery and setup.

5. Upload strong images

Photos matter because inventory can surface on your site, in widgets, and in internal views.

Aim for:

  • one strong primary image
  • extra photos if the item has multiple angles or setup styles
  • clean, current photos that match the real product

Good images improve conversion and reduce pre-booking questions.

6. Save and verify the item in the dashboard

After saving, go back to the Inventory page and confirm the item appears where you expect.

You can then:

  • search for it
  • filter by status or category
  • open it from the grid or list view
  • add it to packages later

Quick tip

Create inventory before you spend time on website polish. Your booking flow, packages, and popular-rentals widgets all depend on the catalog being accurate first.
